Alien Earths Sighting! Alien Earths, a 3000 sqft traveling exhibit designed for the Space Science Institute in Boulder, CO, opened at the Louisville Science Center (www.louisvillescience.org) on January 14. Focusing on the variety of scientific methods for detecting undiscovered planets within our galaxy and the possibilities of life on other planets, the exhibit will stay at the Louisville Science Center through May 7, 2006.

Playground Wins Award! PlayWELL Park @ Poe, the first health-education-themed playground in the country, was awarded the prestigious Richard B. Rush Award for Outstanding Innovation by a Health Education Center for 2005 at this year's annual NAHEC Conference (www.nahec.org). The park features a creative integration of custom exhibits, climbing structures and playground equipment designed to educate school children about the variety of choices they face on a daily basis. PlayWELL Park is located at the Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education in Raleigh, NC (www.poehealth.org) and serves communities in and around Wake County.
