Alien Earths
Traveling Exhibit What’s out there? Are we alone? This 3,000 square-foot traveling exhibit, organized by Space Science Institute with funding from the NSF and NASA, explains the origins of stars and planets and details the search for life on planets beyond our solar system. To analyze the plausibility of alien life, scientists study plants and animals here on Earth that can survive and even thrive in harsh conditions. Alien Earths highlights some of these extreme life forms. Visitors also construct their own solar system, and set it into motion to test whether it’s stable enough to support life. Through these explorations, visitors will see that it’s just possible that we may have neighbors somewhere in space. |
